Kevin Welch (Drums/Vocals) always wanted to be a drummer! At the tender age of five, upon receiving his very first drum set, the music bug bit Kevin right on the ass and a star was born! While on the rise in the Saugus school system, Kevin performed with numerous bands and orchestras, but learned very early that it was Rock and Roll, that really fired him up! Over the past 25 years, Kevin has honed his own musical style, playing in numerous rock bands and learning from influences ranging from Jon Bonham, Buddy Rich and Billy Cobham, to contemporary visionaries Neil Peart (Rush) and Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater). As a former student at Berklee College of Music, Kevin was introduced not only to the business aspect of music, but also to countless extraordinarily talented musicians. Kevin took a short breather from music (like 18 years!) to meet a wonderful girl, start a business, raise two beautiful daughters and enjoy a great life! However, the “regular guy” thing can only sustain a true musician for so long! At the ripe old age of 40 Kevin decided to “get back behind the kit”! He reunited with former high school band mates George Sparacino and Mike Prialaga, and the rest as they say, is RAZEN KAYNE history! Recently, Kevin also signed to anchor local blues band Barrelhouse, making Danielle Burnett the happiest singer alive! “Behind the kit,” is Kevin in his element! He is loving life and shows no signs of slowing down!
